As a part of the recent infrastructure bill, Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Illinois) proposed a $1.75 billion 5-year grant program for transit & commuter rail agencies to upgrade their stations so that they are more accessible for those who experience disabilities.

 
I can't really see anyone having a problem with this...
Republicans in power say, "what policies can I pass to make my base happy and piss liberals off with?" Democrats in power say, "what policies can I get these guys to go along with".
