Living in the DC area, laden with government workers and retirees, I find that the only people who don’t care about the inflation of the last two years are:
1) the liberal elite earning $250,000 a year or more (7% of the population)
2) government workers/retirees whose pay goes up with inflation (less than 5% of the population, nationally)
3) people on welfare whose benefits go up with inflation (20%)
So you’ve got 7 + 5 + 20, or 32% of people who shrug off inflation. The other 68% of Americans, who don’t work for the government or are wealthy or on welfare, are very much affected by it - and almost all are stressed out financially. This is bad news for Bidenomics promoters.
