Indiana beats Ohio State for the Big Ten Championship!

Because that is the mindset. It's a matter of what have you done lately.
And Im saying that's ******* moronic. ND scheduled the only 2 good teams it was going to play all year the first 2 games. Lost them, then played cupcakes the rest of the year. That's not a PO resume.

That's the system now. Maybe they will change it? They all have unbalanced schedules anyway if not mistaken? I even saw late season cupkake games on this year?

Do we ignore AUG games in PHX (ASU) because it was 110F? Or FLA in June? All is not fair. Its the system
They don't play football in June anywhere!

13-10 great game! Ohio State kicker misses a chip shot field goal to tie.
For no reason, I was hoping Indiana would beat Ohio State, so it pleased me. It might have to do with Caitland Clark and her success. It was a tight game and played by two champions.

That's the issue. The system setup. Again, learn sports before yacking like a woman.
There are 136 div 1 football teams, 11 conferences. Like it or not those conferences have some say in who gets into the PO. The SEC Big10 and Big12 get auto bids regardless of where their champ finishes in the rankings. As a concession to the other 8 conferences they gave them 2. If you want to argue that that's a bad system that's fine but say that.

Don't worry though your crybaby Golden Domers who haven't been worth a shit as a football program for 30 years, now get an autobid if they are in the top 12.

Golden Domers? What makes you think I am a fan of them?

Why would Caitlin Clark have anything to do with the IU/OSU game? She went to Iowa.

Tulane plays Ole Miss, and James Madison plays Oregon.

Essentially, you have 6 teams with a 1st round bye. It would have been a more interesting, and competitive, playoff if two of those teams were replaced with Texas and Notre Dame.

So they continue to reward teams that simply have not played the same level of competition. Tulane and JMU did not have the same strength of schedule. What would be better if you had something similar to college basketball, with you have the 64 team, NCAA tournament, and then you have the NIT tournament.

Tulane and JMU can try to win the NIT, but if they did this, then bowl games would not happen.

So CCG does matter? Can't have it both ways. But ALA performance in the CCG does not matter? I'm confused? 3 losses is more than anyone else in the TMT.

Only a win in CCG matters? By your rules DUKE should be in. Maybe VA or ND too?

That's the current system. If ND were in a Conference (ACC) they likely would be in the PO. I don't disagree that this current system is flawed. The largest flaw in the current makeup of the CFP system is that the "league" is far to large. 136 teams in Div 1 and the reality is there are really less than 30 who start any season with even a remote chance of competing for a title. They should break it up into 4-5 divisions at least.

The selection system leaves people disappointed, regardless of how you use it to choose these teams.

Just getting into the tournament as a conference champion is only relevant if you are comparing strength of schedule, you get a team with three losses in the playoff, versus a team with one loss, or even no losses, but who beat teams that were inferior to all of the three teams who beat the team with three losses.

So, three loss teams > all teams the undefeated (or one loss) team played should be considered, which means opinion rules who gets in, versus a teams performance and record.

The only thing that saved Miami was an identical record and a H2H win versus ND, or you know the Irish get in. It should have never even been considered that ND gets in over Miami.

This is an example of what is wrong on both sides:.

1) Teams get in solely on their win-loss record and conference championship

2) Teams get left out who played a better schedule of opponents than teams like Tulane and JMU

3) Eliminating a conference champion with an at-large choice means someone like ND can get in over a Miami

The ranking system leaves it up to people who desperately wanted to put in ND, for good reason. They are a way better choice than either Tulane or JMU. So in that respect it will make someone unhappy.

Who wants to watch Oregon play JMU? Not me. Who wants to watch Oregon play ND? Me.

So they made a deal with ALA beforehand that the CCG doesn't matter? But then it mattered if you play hard and win it? Very confusing? Why have the game at all if it doesn't matter?

Did DUKE move up by winning in OT thriller? Was 2-loss VA punished but not ALA? Or is it 3-loss VA now?

Was ND punished for not playing another game but ALA rewarded? It's a mess again.

This is how people can see this fix, this sweetheart deal.

Perhaps they should just say. All teams with fewest losses are in the pool. That would be up to two losses this year. Then pick from those?
