Their construct is waaaaaaay too simplified. Like advocating for a single lane bridge crossing to be built to run into a major city....for the purpose of relieving traffic congestion. Prolific levels of silly.

But, but everyone will have solar panels and windmills, you know that ancient technology of the past that went away when OIL was discovered.....Of course like what happened in Texas where they have plenty of OIL, when that big ice storm hit, no electricity for the windmills, because they were frozen in place and not much solar electricity because the clouds blocked the sun. What I consider to be the funniest and biggest irony of all is if you are one of those proud owners of an EV in California thinking you have helped the environment.
Not realizing that you are still using fossil fuels to charge and then the wind starts to blow and they shut off your electricity so you can not charge.

Germany is taking out forests to create wind farms. Last I knew plants used CO2. but best to get rid of those pesky things to help reduce CO2. Wind farms kill off birds but who needs those stupid things? I am an environmental warrior, right?
How much electrical capacity are we going to have to put into an aging electrical grid if we replace just 20% of all cars and trucks with EV? Where is that capacity coming from? Are you aware just how long it takes to to permit and build any electrical generation?
In areas the grid is all ready taxed.
