hadit, you are not using your head. Trump is a Billionaire and he has enough money now so that feeding his ego is more important.

Money is not the main goal of narcissists. Ego is. Ego fed by money is limited to economics. Ego fed by power and fame is not limited.

Being a God is not about getting rich but about having total power. When you have total power, it is easy getting richer. Look at Putin. He is worth in excess of $200 billion and money has never been his top goal. Power was always his top goal............the money came because of it.

Oh goody, a hypothetical thread. Can't vote because my hypothetical option is not listed.
I have been dealing with hypotheticals for 47 years and my hypothetical views have been more "often" right than wrong.

The one thing that you should be worrying about is that if I am right, our country will suffer irreparable damage. Under such a scenario, should you ignore this "hypothetical" prognosis?

I mean, if getting cancer is a high probability scenario, should you ignore it or do everything possible to check it out and prevent it?.................or would you simply ignore it?

This is not about the rich being rich (Reps or Dems), it is about TRUMP cutting taxes again and spiking the rich getting richer without it helping 98% of the population.

Are you deflecting because you have no answer to the OP?
Did MSDNC tell you it didn’t help 98% of the population? They were counting on ignorant, gullible voters like you to fall for that lie.

In reality, almost ALL taxpayers saved substantially:

- those earning between $15,000 and $50,000 (the working poor and working class) saved between 16% and 26% on their taxes

- those earning between $50,000 and $100,000 (the middle class) saved between 15% and 17% on their taxes

- the wealthy earning $500,000 to $1 million got a cut of 9%

- the rich earning $1 million got a cut of 6%

Yes, tax cuts do help everyone in the short term but long term there are some big consequences that hurt the middle and poor. In addition, the tax cuts that Trump generated helped the rich much more than the middle and poor class and that causes income inequality to soar, which is always a big negative to the nation overall.

Tax cuts can have negative effects on the economy and public services. These effects include:

  • Increased budget deficits
Tax cuts that aren't financed by spending cuts can lead to higher federal borrowing, which can increase the budget deficit.
  • Reduced long-term growth
Increased budget deficits can slow long-term economic growth by reducing the amount of capital available for private investment.
  • Reduced national saving
Increased budget deficits can reduce national saving and raise interest rates.

  • Reduced state revenues
Tax cuts can reduce state revenues, which can limit funding for public services like schools.
  • Damaged public services
Tax cuts can lead to cuts in school funding, higher public college tuition, and weakened income supports.
  • Reduced tax revenues
Tax cuts can reduce tax revenues, which can lead to raiding the Social Security Trust Fund.
Tax cuts can also benefit certain groups of people more than others. For example, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 benefited business owners and executives more than average workers.

A UK study commissioned around the Gordon Brown years (2007), highlighted a few things. Two points always sticks in my mind.

1 - The increase in GDP was less than population growth, that meant, immigration didn't pay for itself.

2 - Immigration made poor wages poorer (suppressed wage rises), and the top end wages higher.

So if the US is deporting immigrants, and if the economics of this study fit with the US, income equality should get better.

Disclaimer :
(Anyone wanting to find Gordon Brown's study is welcome to use Google. It's quite a few years old and at the time I didn't think, "I better keep this link incase a bell end asks me for it in 17 years time". I don't need to defend anything because I read the PDF at that time. Me not searching for a study doesn't make the study didn't exist.

As for US immigration, Americans will know if their government commissioned a study too. Just remember that finding a newspaper article or blog is not a government commissioned study.

You will find the opposite might happen with income equality. Democrat politicians, Pelosi is a perfect example, couldn't give two hoots about income equality, insider trading shows that.

You should only be interested in income equality when the party you support preaches it.

What a load of misinformed BS

Are you OK with the worst part of this graph ? (2021/2022/2023)

If not, why are you only blaming Trump ?
At no time have I ever blamed any one person for the problems that exist. We all are human and fallible and all have something to do with any problem that exists. Where I do put blame is on the person or party that goes to the extreme. Trump and the Far Right (which presently is in control of the party) have taken things to the extreme.

Yeah ? How ?

The study from the Gordon Brown years actually calls your opinion bullshit, irrelevant how hard you're stamping your feet.
So, dude, where's your head at defending the home front against I*slam...........................or do you clowns bend over and take it up the ass?

Looking like the latter....

Then there's the recent overwhelming vote to look the other way against pedophilia against children.

What say you now?

Go to those threads and read them, the information you seek is there, I was just posting on about it earlier.

If you read the thread heading, this is about income inequality.

What extreme? You’ve already been showed that the working class received triple the tax relief (between 16% and 26% savings) versus the rich (6% tax savings). Your idiotic response, due to your TDS, was that cutting the taxes of the working and middle class would hurt them in the long run.

Your hate for Trump has fried your brain:

First, you lie and say that only the top 2% got tax cuts.

Second, when I show you that the vast majority of taxpayers got tax cuts, you say it will hurt them.

Sorry, but your frantic attempts to pain Trump as harmful to the nation - you can stop already…he won! - is making you present totally illogical points, and it’s a waste of my time.
