Obviously its an easier calculation for some countries than for others. Im thinking all the poor far eastern countries and the poor african countries.
They will follow the money and put their nations first.

But what about the democratic nations of Europe ?

They are being punished for next to nothing. Who knows what nonsense that the US will come out with next. Nato is dead. The US is threatening Greenland and is at least an unstable partner.

Matbe closer relations with China is the answer. Its a huge growing market And it is on a par with the new US when it comes to democratic norms.
They arent telling us who to vote for either.

We should stand up for bullied countries.

They'd be better off with the EU right now, the EU is far, far less aggressive

You love China because they're Marxist and the EU because they're dictators, fits your personality.

Ah the perks of being a european socialist, ya get to sit on the sidelines and root for your favorite team while the heavy weights battle it out to determine your future.

Definately. But longer term China is a more stable partner than the US..
I wouldn't say so. China is changing. I can't see China getting richer and not doing what the US has done. China sees the US as the role model of how to be a super power. They want to be going around interfering. It's just not possible right now as they haven't taken Taiwan.

This is a moral situation. A.nation has to decide who thdy believe cheats more on trade and,.which system they prefer, caoitalism or communism. Therein lies your answer.

I don’t think it means side with one side or the other

Just that China is a more dependable trade partner.
With 125% tariffs from US, China will look for sources other than the U.S.

So you suggest that China might do exactly as the US presumably will -- start with internal provision and /or cheaper alternatives .

Very profound Pinger ,
Who would have thought of that clever ruse without you to guide them .

That Trade War stuff sure makes a lot of sense

Meanwhile the Nazisrael expansion continues and their use of their new wonder weapon -- the Geno Cider Attacker .
Ukraine becomes Russian overnight .
And nobody notices the impending Real Estate Crash .

Trade Wars my foot
More scripted Theatre methinks .

if that is what your heart is telling you, then do it.

You just need to convince your fellow lefties in your nation. Leave nato, tell US to get the fuck out of your country.

LEt the chips fall where they may.

China sells five times more stuff in the U.S. than the U.S. sells in China. Who is better positioned for a trade war?

China's internal economy is tanking as is their social fabric. The one-child policy has been a disaster and real estate values are plummeting in the biggest cities.

Trump intends to level the playing field with everyone and the results will not be fully known for at least a couple years. Compare his program with the feckless lack of US-benefitting actions on recent Democrat administrations.

America first. Everyone else is welcome to do the same.

LOL. You would say that, wouldn't you?
