China employed a record 125 aircraft, as well as its Liaoning aircraft carrier and ships, in large-scale military exercises surrounding Taiwan and its outlying islands Monday, simulating the sealing off of key ports in a move that underscores the tense situation in the Taiwan Strait, officials said.

Then when China decides to attack Taiwan they will face less resistance and less support from the American public who would be exhausted from funding multiple wars.

China knows better than to invade Taiwan. They would lose.
China has never engaged in modern warfare, they have never conducted an amphibious invasion.
China lacks the Navy to support an invasion. Those ships it has would be destroyed by anti-ship missiles, air attacks, drones, underwater mines….

Those ships blockading their ports would be knocked out.

An interruption in the flow of semiconductors would destroy western economies (China too)
