In AZ, if you refuse to debate your opponent, they get thirty minutes of air time to answer questions, that you don't get. Unless you're a Democrat

It sounds like "Clean Elections" has tried hard to motivate politicians to present themselves to the public alongside their opponent. But they son't drag reluctant debaters in, they penalize them by giving the opponent air time to answer tough questions which is what they wantd to obviously, since they were willing to debate.

But Arizona PBS decided that they had to break that twenty year tradition to favor the Democrat.
