In Afghanistan, As the US Pulls Out the CCP Moves In...

China has no interest in fighting the eventual government of Afghanistan. China will go in by invitation and will bring prosperity to that country as well as increasing China's own interests and prosperity.

China puts down the Uighurs, their own islamic terrorists, but has no interest if fighting with others.

The age of US wars of aggression has finally ended. China has a better way.

I agree. Let them have that hell hole. Lets see how long it takes the Afgani's to shoot the shit out of them. Won't take long I'd bet.
That's not going to happen. China isn't going into Afghanistan as an enemy, they're going in at a measured rate as they are invited. A difficult concept for American teenagers to understand.
And sour grapes over losing yet another war!

China understands that the best way to respect women's rights is to first stop dropping bombs on them and their loved ones. How can that kind of attitude fail?

Let China take it. It will be their Vietnam, just like it was for the Soviets. They will waste trillions of dollars and tens of thousands of Chinese lives and hundreds of thousands of Afghanstani lives and leave like everyone else from Alexander the Great on: defeated.
I do not understand why everyone seems to think this. Of course this will not be the case, China is not going in and trying to nation build or control Afghanistan. All they want is a pass from whoever controls the land at the time to allow them access to the resources there.

They are going to waste nothing, unlike the US they have no intention of controlling or improving Afghanistan, just improving China's wealth. Like we really should have been operating in the first place.

Pre-emptive servility won't help you if it comes to that.

China Is Now ‘Welcomed With Open Arms’

Following US Departure From Afghanistan;

Plans to Invest $62 Billion, Expanding Its

“Belt and Road” Initiative

"After years of working to re-legitimize America’s credibility and strength when confronting foreign policy, Donald Trump moved to make good on his promise to end the ‘forever wars’ and called to have all of our brave sons and daughters return home.

Trump was lambasted by just about everyone in the media for his actions

Now 6 months later, as Biden is cheered for pulling the remaining US forces out of the region, Beijing is gleefully stepping in to invest $62 Billion in Afghanistan to continue furthering its 60-country, $3 trillion ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative.

Afghani leaders had been terrified for years about upsetting Trump’s Washington over talks with the communist Chinese; but now that Biden is in office, officials are welcoming the CCP with open arms.

Not only has this laughing-stock completely weakened our stance and removed all credibility from the office of the leader of the free world, he has elevated radicals to prominent roles in his administration who are working to undermine the strength of our military and giving comfort to terrorists like the Taliban."

China has been active in Afghanistan for 20 years. They share a border. China has invested in mining, power plants and railroads. While Dubya was trying to save ENRON they built Port Gwadar and a railroad hub.
Way to go, Joe.

The headline says they are moving in.

China shares a border with Afghanistan. In the past 20 years they have built power plants, mining operations and railroads. While Dubya was trying to save ENRON they built Port Gwadar and a huge railroad hub.

Well done reviving this thread. It's a good option when the list of new ones has degenerated into nonsensible babble, spam, and trolling.

We are seeing more examples of how China doesn't carry out it's foreign policy with bombs and war.

You're welcome.

China has never had any interest in taking back Taiwan by force, but has always been content to allow Taiwan to make it's own decision.

However, the status quo can't be allowed to continue peacefully because China's rise to power is threatening to motivate Taiwan to reunite with China. And so America is doing what it always has done.
Unlike Vietnam, this one threatens nuclear war.
