According to what stats? I am pointing out the fact that over the last two administrations there has been a 10 fold increase in illegals and that is due to the Party in power and the President in charge. Congress has been been ineffectual for decades on immigration reform.

The US needs more immigration and taxpayers or we need more live births.

Our Social Security system is dependent upon the number of citizens paying in to outnumber those it pays out to. Same thing with our other welfare programs.

So....since US live births are flat and even a little negative...we need people! Pure and simple.

I know that this may come at a shock...but we really (as a nation) can NOT afford abortion or homosexuality anymore. (Or even birth control) Or our entire welfare system of Social Security, Medicare, medicaid, and regular food stamps/welfare will collapse. Going to disagree. Other estimates are up to 30mm legal refugees and illegal immigrants.
If you do the numbers coming across the southern border alone and requesting refugee adjudication we are getting more than 2mm a year. That does not include those who evade border patrol, or come in via water or overstay visas.

That also completely leaves out LEGAL immigration.
