Immigrant Couple Buys Street To Charge Rich Californians To Park Outside Their Own Homes
WHY is this in 'Politics'? Because it involves Immigrants and D-Politicians Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi....
See, the rich who owned these homes, like Pelosi and Feinstein - who have been avid supporters of immigrants - REFUSED TO PAY THEIR $14 A YEAR CITY PROPERTY TAX. After 30 YEARS of not paying their property taxes, the city said, 'To Hell With It' and decided to SELL THE STREET in an auctions to recoup their money.
Tina Lam and Michael Cheng, first generation immigrants, found Presidio Terrace listed for only $994 dollars in an online auction. The couple wasn’t the only party to recognize the potential value of the street, however, and they paid more than $90,000 when the bidding was all said and done.
"After buying the street two years ago, the couple bided their time, consulting with property lawyers about the potential uses for the street. They only notified the homeowners that they’d bought the street in May when they approached the homeowners association asking if they’d be interested in purchasing the street back, the Sacramento Bee reported.
The locals were not amused. They sued Cheng, Lam, and the city to get the street back."
So the tax evading snowflakes were served notice that, as a refusal to pay their taxes for 30 years, the street had been sold, and they were going to have to either 1) Buy the street back - which their Home owners' association could do, OR 2) Begin paying for the LIMITED PARKING SPOTS there on the street....and they decided to SUE the opportunistic Immigrants.
"“I was shocked to learn this could happen, and am deeply troubled that anyone would choose to take advantage of the situation and buy our street and sidewalks,” one resident told the Chronicle."
You should have paid your damn taxes, you tax evading liberals!
"The city claimed there was nothing it could do at this point to reverse the sale since it happened so long ago."

Now, instead of paying $14 a YEAR, they are going to be paying a helluva lot more a MONTH to park in front of their own houses.
