Imagine what the death toll from COVID would be if we pretended it wasn’t a problem

Let’s pretend we did that. There was no shutdown anywhere across the US. Do you honestly think the death toll of 135k would be the same? Remember when hospitals were failing? How bad would that have been?

Now, 80,000 MORE deaths are expected by the time November hits. Still think it’s the flu?

It would be pretty much the same.

CDC wouldn't have cherry picked the definition of covid death the numbers would be WAY LOWER NOW.

They have purposely inflated the numbers already.

Conservatives have always argued it's no worse than the flu.

Pretending it doesn't exist is solely for the deniers.

You really got us. Think I'll start a thread on the subject.

Had nobody ever mentioned COVID. the death toll would be about the same as it is now. "Sure is a bad flu-season." Remember back in 19XX honey, that was bad one too."

If you have pretended it wasn't a problem, millions wouldn't have been infected fighting for a year's supply of toilet paper.
