Most assuredly. I'm 81 years old and a mostly life-long Republican. I voted as a Democrat a few times back in the early 70's because where I lived, the GOP could hold their meetings in a phone booth. I finally realized that I wasn't going to change the leftward drift of the Democrats and went back to being a Republican again just in time to see the Democrats go full-blown leftie.
