I'm alerted when anyone starts a thread

I have 209 alerts right now. That's too much.
I used to get 1-10 alerts per day, until I began receiving alerts about 2 weeks ago when any member starts a thread.
These are not only members whom I follow.
I don't even see an option to activate or disactivate this feature. Please help.

Which forum are you getting the alerts from? Go to that one and disable the "subscribe" option.

You can find the forum alerts on the right hand side at the top of the forum. It should say "Watch Thread".

Your user name, top right of the page, will give a drop down menu including 'Alert Preferences'.
