One problem with that logic, is that simply having the electric chair, doesn't matter if you don't ever use it, or if you take 3 decades to enforce it.

The last execution in Ohio (that I know of) was Robert J. Van Hook. Hook was executed in 2018, for a murder in 1985. Think about that... 33 years later, justice is finally done. That's not even true... if you have to wait 33 years... then justice was not done.

That is too long.

The Bible even warns about this.

When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people's hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.

This is what cracks me up when people say "see?! The death penalty isn't a deterrent!" well yeah, if you wait 33 years to carry out justice, it won't be a deterrent. The Bible is only 2,000 years old, and is proven true to this very day.

Never been in the area of Gary, IN have you? Or Indianapolis? Same thing.
Again, to review. Straw buyer purchase or obtain these guns in gun friendly states
and ship them to Chicago. The argument has been researched plenty and you can
find a study with a simple lazy man's Google search.
