If any of you ever bothered to travel outside the US, you would know that people in other countries have been wearing mask for decades. Most often it is done by those that are not feeling well and have to be out in public as a courtesy to other people.

Most of the people I see still wearing them are African-American. There's not a lot of liberals here in TN, so blacks are just about the only folks wearing them anymore.

It's funny considering the fact that I noticed in 2019 they were the last group to start wearing them. But when it became a way of letting everyone know you're a Biden supporter....they all started wearing them. The only folks I saw not wearing them in 2020 when they were required was the occasional Red-neck.

I would wear a mask where required, but I was never nearly stupid enough to believe that doing so protected me or anyone else from anything. I just never saw it as worth fighting with the ignorant and gullible over the matter.

In way, it's too bad that those of us who knew better didn't refuse to wear these stupid masks, and were able to get away with it.

If the only people who wore them were those stupid enough to believe that they did any good, then they would have made a perfect real-world version of Bill Engval's iconic “Here's Your Sign!” shtick—a warning to intelligent folk to show us who is so stupid that we need to know better than to depend on them for anything.

With the government lying every step of the way, intelligent people stopped believing after "we only want to flatten the curve". Only the numbskulls believed every new lie.

I was already very skeptical when “flatten the curve” came out, and right away, I recognized some (but not all) of the wrongness inherent in it.

What was immediately obvious to me that nothing about “flattening the curve” would do shit to reduce the number of people who caught this disease, to reduce the number f people who died from the disease, or any other aspect of harm that the disease might cause. All it would do is prolong the crisis, make it take longer for the disease to ultimate have at least the same impact that it would have had, in a much shorter time, if we had done nothing to slow the spread thereof.

If the disease was nearly as contagious as we were being told that it was, then it was unavoidable that one way or another, nearly everyone was going to be exposed to it, and that none of the means we were being told to employ would have prevented it. Everyone was going to be exposed; everyone who was going to get sick from it was going to get sick; everyone who was going to die from it was going to die.

The only argument for “flattening the curve” that had any vestige of merit was the specter of hospitals being overwhelmed if too many people got too sick, too fast, but that didn't happen; that didn't come anywhere close to happening.

I was recovering from a broken leg when the #CornoaHoax2020 hit, and as a result, I was making regular visits to two different hospitals. As the #CoronaHoax hit its peak, both these hospitals were like ghost towns, with most of their services simply shut down. Fortunately for me, most (but alas, not all) of the services that I needed in connection with my broken leg, were deemed essential enough to keep going; but a lot of services were shut down, and a lot of people therefore denied medical care that they needed.

Where were all these COVID-1984 patients who were supposed to be overwhelming both of these hospitals? I sure as Hell did not see any of them, nor did I see any sign that either hospital was operating at even a near-normal level of activity, much less a level consistent with being overwhelmed in any way.

That was one of the better indicators, for those who had not yet figured out was going on. The way that targeted religious gatherings, conservatives gatherings, but not riots or other LIbEral gatherings. The selective manner in which they chose which activities to allow, and which to not allow, puts the lie to any claim that it was done to fight any disease, that it was done for anything other than blatantly partisan reasons.

Masks are marginally effective at keeping OTHER PEOPLE from catching your sickness. But unless they are an N95 or equivalent quality mask, they do very little to stop Covid from entering your nose and mouth. You may as well cut a piece of chicken wire and attach it to your face. These people who aren't even wearing them properly in the first place? They have the thing pulled down on their chin and not covering their nose.
Personally I think that anyone who's still wearing a mask has mental problems.

I can understand people wearing masks while on an aircraft, or when you're in confined spaces. But the truth is a mask is useless in keeping you from catching a virus. The primary reason doctors wear masks is to keep from infecting their patients during surgery. Wearing a mask helps prevent you from infecting others.

Back when I used to travel to the Far East I often saw people in Japan wearing masks during the Winter during the Cold & Flu season. They were just being polite and telling everyone that they're sick and they don't want to spread it to others.

You can also tell when you see pictures or videos of people still wearing masks. Socialist countries are still imposing mask requirements on their people. They don't have much of a choice in Canada or France. They don't have the freedom of choice we still have. Their government tells them what to do, and they just shrug and go along with it.

Here in the states this doesn't fly at all. Especially since we saw in 2020 that even though we were in a pandemic, most protesters weren't wearing masks or keeping proper safe distance from each other (LOL). (They weren't requiring illegals to be vaccinated) How can they say we need to wear their stupid masks when they weren't forcing their paid protesters to do it? Heck, the only time they wore one was when they were looting Target. Fact is, that mask was just a sign of solitary and compliance. Biden would walk up to the podium and peal off that disgusting mask (which evidently was stuck to his face) before he began talking. It was obvious that he was telling us that the mask was a symbol, not a protection from COVID. They also said that we must wear a mask in restaurants but magically we could eat without wearing one. So apparently they were just a prop. Now we're finding out that masks were indeed just a prop, and anyone who is still wearing one is either psychotic or wearing one to be identified as one of the Democrat's minions.
