Maturity comes from the wisdom to determine if one wants a family and planning for years to have that family. Maturity is not in any way shape or form getting married at 24, with very little money saved, to another 24 year old with very little money and pumping out 2 kids to live meagerly. Thats a recipe for divorce and unhappiness. Young people are getting smarter. Many see this scenario and say no thank you. And some wondervwhy they dont want that route? Really?

In todays america there is an equal chance a marriage ends in divorce as it does hang on. Therefore, matuity is getting a degree or further training before one gets married or has kids. If the marriage tanks then the person has the means to support themselves. Getting married before that makes things so much harder should it fail. Its called thinking ahead, not getting married young.
