Yes. The gang of Munich did validate it. Russia didn't. Russia saw it as an aggression against her allie, and, what is even more important, destruction of the European security system and preparation for the direct European aggression against Russia. And Russia was right.

Actually, there were twenty large Russian-Polish wars (since 981), and uncountable number of the smaller and proxy-conflicts. In most of them it was Poland, who started them.

In my example, there will be a limited nuclear war, started (as nuclear) by Russian counter-force strike, without US retaliation, and finished by signing the mutually acceptable peace treaty, which will include return Alaska and, likely, California, to Russia, but saving American people, American cities and American state.
