After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine gave up its stockpile of nuclear weapons on the assurance that the West would protect them. That didn’t happen.

The West gave promises not to expand NATO eastward and, later, when they violated that promise they gave the promise not to establish permanent foreign bases on the territory of the new NATO members.
And Ukraine gave promises not to disriminate Russian people and Russian language and not to join other military alliances.

There are always at least two sides guilty in a conflict. And in this conflict those guilty sides are NATO and Ukraine.

Really? NATO was created much later after Russia. Some thousand years later. It is NATO a threat for Russia.
