Me....
I'd drop a earth size planet within an 89 million mile orbit around the sun. I'd cover it with 80% ocean.

This way it would be possible that life could form on it and humanity would have a livable world within reach....

And doing so would have caused the two bodies to interact affecting the orbits of both possibly causing one to eventually crash into the other or get flung out into space.

At one time, Jupiter was inside closer to the Sun then slowly wandered back out to where it is now.

If I had to pick a twin Earth, I'd place it maybe 105 million miles out so that if anything, as the Sun got older and grew hotter and larger, the other planet being farther out would buy us some extra time.

I'd have an exact duplicate of Earth always on the other side of the Sun from us, so we never see it.

The only difference would be that Earth has 500PPM CO2 in the atmosphere and is therefore forever uninhabited

That is a good idea. ;) Maybe that would be the superior position as it would in fact give us more time.

I would terraform earth by getting rid of the oxygen, increasing the CO2 to 90%, put heavy metals in the water and spray toxins in the atmosphere so that Martians could live here. Oh, wait, aren't we doing that already? Never mind.

The trick would be to haul Titan in from Saturn and place it at the optimal position between Earth and Mars so to not affect either, then terraform it into a livable biosphere.

It will be an ice world now, but over the next billion years if man survives, as the Sun warms up and the Earth becomes inhospitable, this other planet will warm and become the place to be.

I'd have Mars much closer so our Martian overlords wouldn't have to travel as far.

I would give the moon water and an atmosphere, kinda a mini me.

An interesting sidenote: The earth and moon are almost a double-planet given their relevant sizes compared to the moons of other planets.

Remove Democrats from Earth...

And all the men on your planet would give birth, right head case?

The rules. Maybe do away with gravity. Maybe change the rules on inertia.

Escape or legacy motive: Implicitly, this reflects concerns about Earth’s limits (overpopulation, resource depletion, existential risks) and a desire to ensure humanity’s continuity or to give future generations options.

👉 Do you think you or anyone can control humans' greed, lust, or pride?

No — a single new planet wouldn’t control human greed, lust, or pride. Those are cultural, psychological, and institutional issues. A new world might change incentives and create new constraints, but it won't eliminate underlying human drives.

Brief reasons:

- Incentives shift, not nature: Access to more space/resources can reduce scarcity-driven conflict short-term, but also creates new opportunities for exploitation and competition.

- Institutions matter: Laws, norms, governance, and enforcement determine whether resources are shared or monopolized. Without fair institutions, inequities persist.

- Human psychology persists: Status-seeking, desire for power, and short-term thinking would still exist and adapt to a new environment.

- Technology risk: Advanced tech enabling colonization also amplifies capacity for harm, concentration of wealth, and surveillance.

So the planet could offer options for survival and experimentation in governance, but controlling those basic human tendencies requires social, political, and institutional change — not just more habitable real estate.
I have been learning to let go of anything. THAT REALLY BRINGS PEACE OF MIND! :)

i'd have pigs clean up after themselves......~S~

I would make Pluto bigger so it could be a real planet again #RIPPluto
