I have donated before for other causes and not suffered any recriminations to my knowledge but this is a different scenario and I hope I don't regret helping a friend. Gracie et al will read of our concerns. I trust she/they are considerate persons and would secure anonymity. I have long enjoyed Gracie and her posts.

Also it is the paint and hood of the vehicle that is burned but the vehicle is still functional though, as Gracie described it, on its last legs. As long as they have the vans they can haul a bunch of stuff without having to rent a trailer.

If she can get the headlights fixed hopefully they can dive it out of there.
Depends on what the last legs of a van is.
Once they are in a better place they can look for a good used one.
The cheapest used Vans I found on line in Redding started at 18,000.00 to 25,000.00

The autos--Both Mr & Mrs Gracie's are vans. And I thought I read that she has a line on an apartment that will be ready in a few days? I'm pretty sure she won't have to live in the van again. And hopefully if the GoFundMe meets the goal they can purchase a small mobile home somewhere they would like to live. That is what I hope most for them, i.e. that they find a home in a place they feel at home and can enjoy living there.

LOL, being able to focus on and accomplish a single task to the exclusion of all others--something that I, a dedicated multi-tasker am woefully inadequate at--also has it virtues. So we balance each other out. And yes, he is an excellent guy.

Well both have significant medical issues so that is sort of tying them to California I think.
