If voters don’t feel relief, the economy isn’t fixed

How is your gasoline cost now, higher or lower? I filled up my car the other day and the cost for the tank started with a 2 for the first time in forever. It was $27 dollars for a tank that will take me over 500 miles.

Economic numbers are promising
Strong GDP, Record Stock Market

But the rising economy only seems to be helping the wealthy.
Trickle down is not working

The average worker looks at what it costs to take their wife to dinner and a movie and passes on it

The average worker looks at new car prices and decides to keep that 10 year old car running

The average worker looks at the cost to buy a house and realizes it is out of their league.

The average worker looks at their paycheck and sees meager pay raises as their costs keep rising

You can’t fool people about the economy
Some people Are fooled by promises, and altered information. IF they think they will get their way,
and the hell with the rest of us Americans.

Democrats don't fix anything. Their policies only make things much worse.
Open borders, war on energy, over-spend on everything, borrow excessively...which would cause a disaster if the dollar collapses.
Change that to neither party fixes Anything. And then we will start being Honest.

If voters don’t feel relief, the economy isn’t fixed

The concerns of many Americans about their economic well-being may be at the highest level since the Great Depression. Politico recently reported that 46% of Americans say their cost of living is the worst that they can remember, including over one-third of Trump voters. Nothing better exemplifies this than the many “30-somethings” who are unable to purchase a home.

Financial anxieties center around affordability, which is the proxy for evaluating whether the economy is meeting the public’s needs. Affordability is the degree to which households can responsibly pay for essential goods and services.

Gregg Ip, an economic commentator for the Wall Street Journal, says that affordability cannot be measured solely by economic data, but must also account for perceptions of financial security.

President Trump opined that concerns about affordability are a “hoax” created by Democrats for political purposes. Most Americans would disagree. While the runaway inflation of the Biden presidency has moderated, widespread concerns about affordability persist. According to a recent Politico poll, nearly half of the nation found the cost of their groceries, health care, utilities, and housing to be unaffordable. About half of the respondents said food costs are difficult to manage, and more than a quarter skipped medical appointments because of the cost.

In the 2026 midterm elections, it will be incumbent upon Republicans and Democrats to make an affordability agenda “job one.” These agendas should be the yardstick voters use to cast their vote for members of Congress and state officials.

I disagree. All the Left has to do is continue to destroy the US from within with spending like a drunken sailor, while "fixing" everything by trying to give away even more things as "free".

But as we all know, or at least should, nothing is ever free. The price for continuing to offer "free" things is a cost voters never reckon on paying.

And for Trump to say that the hurting economy is a hoax is not helping him. No, it is the exact opposite.

And yes, under Biden unaffordability hit new record heights as the DNC contributed to much of it, but Trump is President now and must fix it overnight or meet a horrible fate in the midterms.

For the Left, they could not be happier as they will see both Trump and a free market collapse altogether.

That was always the goal.
Voter feelings is a lagging indicator.

Just can't do it, can you? :)
Can't admit that this economy belongs to your savior. He created it.
Biden left him with a recovering economy....after Trump destroyed it in his first term.

Most voters in bright red states will walk into the polls..and vote for the same white Republicans who've done
nothing for them in decades. Because, that's what they are conditioned to do. ^Shrug^.
I vote Republican for what they stand for, not what they've done for me. I can "do for me" by myself.

Real wages have increased since Trump took office over the past year

Yes, but then we have acquisitions that are negatively affecting pay and benefits when these huge corporations that are selling out and bailing with golden parachutes then cause a bad ripple in the economic system.

Seems to be a cycle in this country that is supposed to be controlled by monopoly laws.

It appears that the corporate world has figured out a way around monopoly laws, and therefore these acquisitions are leading to unstable economic future's for those that are being negatively affected by it all. The coming into communities and raping and sucking up the natural resources of the communities (while destabilizing the community until left desolate in the end) is caused by local political figures selling out those resources for kick backs and wealth against the health and well being of the communities that are negatively impacted.

This country should focus on stability in jobs, companies, wages, benefits, and long term stability of our companies by gaining trust and longevity back to our cultural plight in America.

Companies are acquiring other companies that are so large now, that the first thing an acquisitioning company does is immediately cut benefits, wages, profit sharing, 401ks, seniority, and everything it can in hopes to regain some sort of balance after such a massive buy out. It's an unhealthy thing going on in America. It truly makes it almost impossible for the government to keep an economic indicator amongst such chaos. Have we not learned anything after rejecting Mitt Romneys Bain capital model that was allegedly taking advantage of floundering corporations by buying them up only to deconstruct them for profits until they shut them down ?
Until these thing's are fixed by regulations or the enforcement of laws already on the books, we won't know which way the long term health indicator of this economy will go.

What they "stand" for...is making the wealthy...wealthier. ^shrug^.
I do believe that it's ok to make the wealthier or investment class stable and prosperous, but when that investment class becomes hostile to the very society that made them great, then Houston we have a major problem.

The wealthy are building us a nice Ballroom, what are you complaining about?

Yeah the left hates making people wealthy

They are about oppression and dependence
Depends on who is being made wealthy, and what kind of stability they are offering or projecting as a result of being supported by those who helped them to become wealthy. Not a leftist or righty thing.

Why does it matter who’s getting wealthy as long it’s irs done legally?

Again, said no one..ever.
And right now, with the way Skippy and his crew have fucked our institutions and our economy over with their incompetence, I'd gladly take Sleepy Joe and his admin back. Some normalcy and actual competence would be nice right now.
Biden dealt with the shit sandwich that your savior left him..and pulled the country out of a nosedive...which Skippy has been busy putting the country back into. :)
