If Trump had kept his campaign promises this time..

Like I said, Trump should've stayed focused SOLELY on the things that got him elected.

Recently he's went full leftist retard with his wars, regime change, tariffs, Epstein files and a few other issues. Showing his true blue, north eastern liberal ways.

I don't support the left. Or Republicans who lean left.
all republicans are left wing including trump,, they just arent as far ;left as democrats,,

do you support him closing USAID and stopping tax money from going to NGOs??

Imagine, when Trump was in office, the oil industry was over a year into a boom cycle. Gas prices were coming down. The US was also in an economic recovery stage. We were in no wars. The GOP had just won the trifecta. The house, senate and white house. Plus the SC leaned right.

There was nothing that could stop Trump from making good on all his campaign promises.

Cheap gas
Releasing the Epstein files
DOGE finding hundred of billions in fraud & waste.
A congress to codify all of that.
Plus massive cuts in spending
The border was going to be secure.
Violent illegals were going to be round up and deported
End the WOKE/DEI agenda
End government funded transgender surgeries.
End the war in Ukraine that was costing us so much

Things were going to be real good.. But within 6 months, Trump started backtracking on those promises. And now, after about 1.5yrs, most of didn't happen. And isn't going to happen. The border is secured. And several illegals were deported. The tax cuts are still in place. No tax on tips or social security. And I'll give Trump credit for getting rid of a lot of government employee's. That's always a good thing

But no spending cuts. In fact spending increased drastically. Kids can still get their trans surgeries paid for due to a loop hole, gas is through the roof, we're in a war and have bombed 7 countries in the last years. Trumps tariff wars have pissed half of Europe & Canada off. Job growth has slowed to about 30,000 per month. (if that many)

I was just thinking, how great things would've been if Trump had just stuck with his campaign promises.
Because excuses.

From what I seen, he was supposed to focus on the violent ones. But trying to boost his numbers, he went after anyone he could catch. Including those showing up for their immigration hearings. Or at places where they need to get their paperwork fixed and in order. And even a few cases where they picked up US military spouses.
Maybe he's actually going to focus on the violent ones now. Which is a good thing.

I've drawn my own fuzzy line when it comes to decent people who come here illegal. Those that are actually decent, hard working folks, I'd just as soon the government pay them no mind. But I also expect the government to put pressure on them to get legal. Simply because it's the right thing to do.

I see the whole thing very differently. I really don't think he gives a rat's @ss about illegal immigration. I think the government has used that entire issue as a pretext for bringing in more authoritarian and Orwellian policies, more militarization of police and eventually the digital ID.

As for what you said about "decent people who come here illegally"... I disagree, because crossing the border illegally shows a disrespect for the law from the get-go. And to reward them for that by allowing them to stay is not fair to the tons of people who wait in line for YEARS to come here legally, because they are law-abiding and do things the right way. The law-breakers should be sent to the end of the line, imo.

That's very possible. But it could be added to what I said. One doesn't counter the other. If that makes sense.

I guess the difference is I've known a lot of decent illegals. I've worked with them, many were my customers as well as friends. And during those times, you learn things about where they come from and why they come here. It's either being devastatingly poor their entire lives. Or come here illegally (because for most, it's impossible to come here legally) For example: The application alone is like $500. If they're not approved, they still lose the money. If they don't own property or something similar, it's impossible.
So they take the chance.
My Vietnamese friend had to get her mom to sign over the house to her in Vietnam and have some sort of sponsor before she qualified for a green card.

All of that is neither here nor there to most folks. And I totally get that. But I say if they do come here illegally, with the right intentions, there should be a way for them to prove it and be documented so they can prove they're decent.
But that opens the door to a lot of bad people too.

The best solution is for foreigners to make their own country better. But doing that is just as impossible as us citizens making all our politicians & government fair and free of corruption.

P.S. Those that stand in line for years, they mostly understand the qualifications and can qualify. But if someone doesn't qualify, they'll never, in their entire life, get accepted for a green card. Even if they're decent, honest & hard working.

In order to do that, dems would have to work with him…We know who’s to blame.

In order to do that, dems would have to work with him…We know who’s to blame.

Why? The GOP has the trifecta.

When the dems have even a slight majority, they ram just about anything they want down the GOP's throat.
But we're supposed to negotiate and compromise with them when we have the majority?

Like how TF did Trumps RINO's allow a back door for minors and their gender surgeries to be funded by the government? And why TF did Trump sign that bill?

anyone that expects a politician to keep campaign promises has serious mental problems,,

similar to a drunk standing on a corner screaming at passing cars,,
Yet you fools bleev every word.

And not just once.

He fooled you TWICE.

I guess the difference is I've known a lot of decent illegals. I've worked with them, many were my customers as well as friends. And during those times, you learn things about where they come from and why they come here.

I could say the same thing about other crimes from drug dealing to assault even some thieves,,

fact remains their first act is to sneak into our country uninvited,,

shows a full lack of respect,,

so did you agree or disagree with trump shutting down USAID??

Yet you fools bleev every word.

And not just once.

He fooled you TWICE.

These political loyalist have somehow managed to normalize lying politicians. "It's OK because they all do it" is the most retarded thing a voter from either side can say.

I just said all politicians lie,, so how did you turn that into "I believe every word he says"??

Lying should be an impeachable office. Agree or disagree?

Voters should hold lying politicians accountable. Agree or disagree?

People always promise more than they can deliver in politics.
There are politicians who write checks they can't cash. That was Obama.

And then there are pathological liars like Trump who recognize a golden opportunity to fleece the rubes on a level never seen before.

The Republican party used to stand for a lot of things. Morality, fiscal responsibility, freedom, and yes, equality.

But then it became infested with bigots, psychopaths, liars, and hypocrites.

Which opened the door wide for a serial adulterer, a thief who steals from cancer kids and the elderly, and who jails people for speaking out against him and trying to hold him accountable, and who overspends like a boatload of sailors in the world's largest whorehouse. Who treats the office like a personal ATM. A man who starts wars to divert his cult's attention away from his 38,000 mentions in the PedoFiles.

The GOP threw out every last principle they claimed to believe in for this scumbag.

better excuse than being a drunk standing on a street corner screaming at passing cars,,

tell you what, when you come up with a candidate that will keep all campaign promises you let us know,,

until then find an AA meeting to deal with your drinking problem,,
That is no excuse for Trump and not, certainly, an acceptable whaboutism for Democratic candidates.
He is a crook.

I just said all politicians lie,, so how did you turn that into "I believe every word he says"??
There simply is no comparison between the current scumbag in the White House and anyone who came before him.

No comparison.

Don't even try. You will just validate my point about being fooled. Twice.

Yeah, I understand your POV. And I'm also aware of the poverty. I lived in Baja for a number of years. Part of that time I was involved with a Christian missions organization that built houses for poor families. So I've seen it with my own eyes. But I still disagree with policies that encourage illegal immigration. Anyway, I'm glad that you agree with the other point, and yes, it doesn't necessarily counter what you said about prioritizing violent criminals. I'm all for mass deportations. As long as it is done with respect for the law and the constitution....and without turning us into an authoritarian police state as an outcome.

that would depend on what they lied about,,

voters/I do hold them accountable by voting,,

when you find a politician that doesnt lie you let me know..

You know what encourages illegal immigration the most? I mean really encourages them.

The $15hr they can make by coming here. The government has destroyed the value of our currency so much, that even though it's a poverty wage for us ($15hr), it's a gold mine to them. Many places in Mexico, S. American and others places, $5 to $10 per day is their normal wages.

Do the math. Say $8 per day for 30 days.... That's 240 a month.
They can make as much in 2 days here, as in a month in their own country.

If the tides were turned, between the US economy (wages) and Mexico, we'd be sneaking across their borders too. Because it would just as impossible to change our government & economy as it is for them.

I could compare them all day long,, a lie is a lie,,
because they didnt do what they said they would do I see it as the lowest form of lies,,

I can understand your simple mind having a problem with it,,
