My only complaint about his immigration actions is putting resources into catching those non violent, no criminal history illegals. When there's still too many violent illegals running loose.
I don't support the non violent, no criminal history illegals. But it does take up resources to get them. Resources that would be better used by getting the bad ones first.

Actually, in recent months he has publicly stated that their focus is going after the violent criminals... not farm workers, hospitality workers, etc.

IMO, that was yet another betrayal since he ran on being tough on illegal immigration and stated that he would deport ALL illegals. Plus, in my view doing the "pathway to legal status" thing rewards lawbreaking, and that makes him not much different than Democrat politicians.

From what I seen, he was supposed to focus on the violent ones. But trying to boost his numbers, he went after anyone he could catch. Including those showing up for their immigration hearings. Or at places where they need to get their paperwork fixed and in order. And even a few cases where they picked up US military spouses.
Maybe he's actually going to focus on the violent ones now. Which is a good thing.

I've drawn my own fuzzy line when it comes to decent people who come here illegal. Those that are actually decent, hard working folks, I'd just as soon the government pay them no mind. But I also expect the government to put pressure on them to get legal. Simply because it's the right thing to do.
