I remember double digit inflation under Carter. It helped enormously for Carter to be utterly rejected and Ronald Reagan to be elected President in 1980. It took Reaganonmics three years to bring inflation down to acceptable levels but he he left office with higher inflation than what we have now. I suspect Trump will do that much more quickly but his economic policies haven't had time to kick in yet and won't do so until the new budget in October. We're still stuck with Biden's budget until then.

In the months then following that, we should then be able to see more progress.

The feds raised interest rates to 20% to fix inflation. Reagan didn't do shit. And he grew government to get his way out of the mess. Doubled the debt. And at the same time cut taxes on rich people. Reagan was the beginning of the end for the middle class.
