with what military strategy?? supply lines are a major obstical for Moscow empire even when the country they are fighting is right on the border. If they want to over run the WEST good luck. It would be the end of them.

You have a solid point: the West (NATO) is 50 times stronger on paper, but does NATO have the balls to fight Moscow imperialism in trenches the way Ukrainians have done for 5 years? A professional army is not enough for a big war — can ordinary NATO citizens still fight trench warfare?

It's a very bad idea, regardless of where it comes from. imo, it has become a... iconic example of the idiot politician throwing away men and treasure becasue they refuse to face military reality.

Before this Putin seemed to be giving a good faith effort at his job, ie leading Russia, as he saw fit, given his kgb background and russian history.
But with teh failure of his attempt to conquer Ukraine, he seems to be stuck, unable to face the fact that the effort has failed.
And he keeps pissing men and material away, neither of which russia can afford to lose.
If he had been replaced by an impostor who had orders to destroy russia, his actions would not be very much different, at this point.
