would that mean the email address is a phony?
While I can't find the exact email for some reason, here is my comment!
The simple response to the email sent by DOGE to determine accomplishments would be just acknowledging the receipt of the email.
The point is that how many phony email addresses are there in the USA alone?
It's impossible to definitively state the exact number of phony email addresses in the USA, but estimates suggest there are millions, with a large portion of them being generated by automated bots and used for spam or phishing purposes, contributing to the overall problem of cybercrime in the country.
  • Over 48% of emails sent in 2022 were spam.
  • Over a fifth of phishing emails originate from Russia.

In conclusion my point is simple. Just answer the email verifying the email address is correct and that the recipient verifies the information.
That is one of the first issues to be completed by DOGE i.e. how many employees' are phonies?
A study last year from the Office of Management and Budget, however, reports that of the 2.28 million civilians working for the federal government, 54% work fully on site.

A Government Accountability Office report last summer found that a majority of the agencies it surveyed used 25% or less of their headquarters.A

Folks... conservatively. 46% work remotely and how many of these remote workers are actually accomplishing anything???
AGAIN that's what DOGE is asking!!!

Grounds for dismissal if an employee gives a phony e-mail address?
No need to give a private email address. You get a company one when you're hired. Emailed company notices go to your work email, not your private one.

Misuse of government funds by accepting salaries for non-employment would be criminal act...hence a dismissal also.

Musk focuses on the employee instead of the supervisors.
1. The employees are to copy their supervisors, so each supervisor should know who he supervises. If he sees a John Doe he knows that is a phony employee. If one of his direct reports doesn't get an email he should recognize that too.

2. So the supervisors just need to confirm the employee active status. If accomplishments are allowed, he can confirm them, and if they are in the office or not.

Especially in the federal government. Its been a while since I've been in the corporate world, but doesn't outlook have the ability to ascertain if the email was delivered? And read? Seems it had that feature when I was working.

I don't really see what is so hard about listing five things you did last week, unless you didn't do five or you realize that playing tiddly winks isn't what you were supposed to be doing while on the clock.

Yes, you set it to give you a read receipt.
