ICE Arrests More 'Worst of the Worst' Aliens

WTF is your problem???
You didn’t answer the question

Why the hell is ICE deporting people like her?

No criminal history

Not a rapist or a murderer

If you break a law and don't get caught, you're still a criminal.

Why her?

There are thousands of illegals who SHOULD be deported.

Why target her?
I have no idea.
Maybe she's trafficking fentanyl or something. :dunno:
I imagine there's some kind of reason.
But why do you care?

SHE'S HERE ILLEGALLY.

Her citizenship should be revoked then

The point is that a February, 2026 report analyzing ICE arrests in the first year of the new administration indicated that roughly 2,100 of those arrested had homicide charges or convictions, while 5,400 involved individuals with sexual assault charges or convictions. Approximately 70% of ICE arrests in early 2026 were of individuals with existing criminal convictions or pending charges in the U.S.

This is a good thing, but it should not stop there. Anyone and everyone who is in this country illegally, should be arrested and/or deported, with no exceptions. If the concept of "equal justice" is to be observed, that girl should not receive special consideration just because she hasn't murdered someone, nor should anyone else being an illegal alien in the US.
I agree it shouldn’t stop

But here is some GOOD NEWS!
Citizenship or visas required for banking.
Illegal aliens are about to be debanked completely.

She was arrested because her student visa was terminated in 2016 under the Obama administration for failing to attend classes. And yes, a person can be arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement if their student visa has expired and they have not properly maintained or extended their legal status (such as through a SEVIS extension or OPT). An expired visa means they are in the U.S. unlawfully, making them subject to detention and deportation, even if they have no criminal history.

Except that she's married to a US Citizen. So, um, no, her status here wasn't invalid.

The govt can misrepresent itself to gain entry, university grounds aren’t a home or private building or business

What was she arrested for?
I’m no lawyer but it wasn’t a public university so, yes, it was a private building.

Here illegally?

Buh-bye! 👋

Blow your whistle in protest.
Not exactly the worst of the worst. Just a student. Even Trump decided it was wrong but you were so busy licking up his goo that you missed it.

“I shared my concerns about Columbia student Elmina Aghayeva, who was detained by ICE this morning,” Mr. Mamdani said, describing his conversation with Mr. Trump in a social media post.

Just after 3 p.m., the White House called with a reply. “He has just informed me that she will be released imminently,” Mr. Mamdani wrote.

“The university is relieved and thrilled that our student, Ellie, has been released from detainment,” Columbia posted on social media shortly afterward.

Her arrest punctured months of relative calm on Columbia’s campus, and appeared to be the first incursion by immigration police into one of its buildings in nearly a year. Mahmoud Khalil, who had finished his coursework at Columbia and was about to graduate, was detained in the lobby of his university-owned apartment building in March 2025.
