Oh, I fully agree that every time a law enforcement officer shoots a criminal, there should be a thorough investigation. We should always be skeptical when government kills a citizen - or even an alien, legal or not.

Too many times, police have shot people for "reaching for something," or not taking their hands out of their pockets quickly enough to suit the officer.

But let's not give the violent criminal, Alex Pretti, special rules because he was anti-ICE, nor assume the guilt of the officers involved because their agency happened to be ICE. We know he was attacking the officers, and we know that he had a gun. The rest must be determined through a thorough investigation.

Assaulting law enforcement is always dangerous. Even more so when the assailant is armed and irrational as was Pretti. The media would have preferred to hide that part from us, and successfully did at least long enough to get the false Story of the Innocent Observer cemented in the public mind.

An armed man attacked law enforcement and wound up being shot. Yes, let's have a thorough and unbiased investigation to make sure there was no more to it than that. But the left will never accept results that don't fit the narrative that the media fed them, so I don't expect any closure of this incident.

No you idiot. They all look like that. The slide is pulled back and the gun is empty. The slide stays back until a round is chambered. If you shoot a semi-auto handgun, after the last round is fired, the slide stays back so you know the gun is empty.

Handgun barrels are not perfectly aligned. This is so when you look down the sights on the top of the barrel, the bullet hits where the dots line up. Since this gun is shot at very close ranges, they put a little upward angle to the barrel to allow this to happen, otherwise you'd hit low every time you fired it.
