You're a prime example of what's wrong with America. People are not interested in your petty arguments, they're not voting on decisions from the kangaroo courts, they're interested in results. They don't like paying a fortune for groceries and gas, they also want to be able to afford living in their home. Now, if vote on character and kangaroo courts, that's good for you, but once you start to realise that everyone else has different beliefs and opinions, and you stop trying to make them into a copy of you, then that's when you'll start to understand people.
