He said some of the ideas were good others weren't but he purposely didn't read it so that they can't try and Covert Canadian tactics of misrepresenting his views. The issue was the age-old tactic of trying to link a politician to a document he had no part in formulating.

You can safely wager that the opposition will send in a Provocateur or two who will present themselves as a leader to be admired and they will promote some extreme idea, it will make the document and then they will say "look, that's the same guy who once stayed at the Trump Hotel, this means that Trump agrees with Project 2025 and this radical view!"

The president of the Heritage Society was fundraising telling donors that Trump was on board with all of it, and that he would be walking into the White House on day, one with a package of executive orders, and legislation to be signed immediately.
