Well there are 44m people on the ACA, that says something.

The fact that democrats sunset the subsidy at the end of 2025 says something else, that the ACA is going down.

If Trump and the Republicans want to win elections, they need to fix the ACA, rename it TRUMPCARE, make the subsidy permanent, and pay for the $35b subsidy with the following:
1. Implement the $200b DOGE savings
2. Go nuclear for CRs, Appropriations, and Rescissions
3. Claw-back the democrat slush funds run by Podesta and Abrams, ($377b)
4. Pass any other wish-list items they can think of, especially the terms in the BBB.
5. While they are at it, fix SS & Medicare (raise the cap)
6. Give the president formal authority to negotiate tariffs.
7. Give Trump authority to eliminate the drug cartels, who are killing ~100,000 Americans annually
8. Anything else repubs can think of, but end the shutdown and get busy.

Rand Paul said that the ACA system needs to be opened up so people could buy policies from anyone, like Costco or Walmart.
Medicaid is charity, the ACA is healthcare insurance.

Medicaid costs are exploding, now about $1T a year. In 1996 it was zero.

Medicaid needs to be eliminated.
