None of the democrats wanted to stop or even delay the certification. But that's exactly what dozens of republican congress men and senators, including Cruz, wanted to delay the certification by 10-14 days, in hopes of throwing the choice into the houses of congress.

All Trump did was have a rally to pressure Republicans not to certify the election. That's all he did.
