I should have looked at accord and Camry ??

I made the mistake of buying a Dodge Dakota with rear-wheel drive only. I was trying to save cash. That turned out to be a bad idea since I was living in St. Joseph, MO at the time. That thing handled like crap in the snow and ice.
A Pick up? well that would be far too light on the rear wheel drive. Others and myself always used to place one or two 50kg cement-bags into our BMW 2002 models during Winter. :)

Yep - the ergonomic of the Pinto was great - it's actually what I liked most about it. Only the spongy-steering was a nightmare.

Remember that Pinto station wagon with wood foil decor? :)

No but a friend of mine had one of those 90's era caprice classic station wagons with the faux wood on the side as his first car. His parents were if you want it for free, you are taking granny's old grocery getter or mom's old minivan so he went for the wagon. Man we had so many good times in that hoopty. The more people you packed in it, the bouncier the ride got.

I got stuck driving from Nebraska back to Denver, CO in a small, Mazda Protégé during a major blizzard. Little 4-banger with front-wheel-drive. I was shocked but pleased that it handled the situation like a champ.
Same thing happened to me 30 years ago on a Colorado highway, I was driving a Mitsubishi Precis, a little front wheel drive hatchback, and it was awesome in the snow, I even had a 4 wheel drive pickup following me busting through the snow, I slowed and gave him a few chances to pass and he never would.

My white Pinto with red interior - and sliding roof!! was a great ladies pick up machine - but somehow they always started screeching and whining when I drove down the mountain pass (65-75mph) into Springs.:smoke:
One day got pulled over by a cop - so smart me started speaking German to him - no comprende - sorry, and he spoke back in fluent German telling me about his great time in the US Army stationed at Augsburg (my original hometown) and his love for the Autobahn - well I manged to get out of it .... lucky me.
Lol, I was driving down the 101freeway once with a buddy. Actually roommate at the time. Just left happy hour. This dude was always thinking he saw a movie star. He starts screaming I just saw Bert Reynolds. Pointing at a white Ford Pinto station wagon. I laugh my ass off saying ain't no way he is driving a Ford pinto station wagon. Sitting and watching the Carson show that very night. Bert is a guest. Johny says hey I noticed you drove a Ford pinto station wagon to the studios. Bert says ya, who the hell would think Bert Reynolds would drive a Ford pinto station wagon. It's why I drive it. Lol, had a little egg on my face on that one.

You will pay a huge premium for Honda and Toyota today because they are limiting production and supply

As much as $15,000 between a Toyota 4Runner or Honda Pilot and everything else on the market

But they are better cars in terms of overall quality

Nah..they're just better cars and trucks.

Because I researched both of them when the Wife was considering one of the two.
Not if you compare the adequate models in reference to their adequate HP and engine layout
The measured differences are marignal or in practical not really relevant - and a Z3 -3.0 is an R6 cylinder (inline) - and R6 is what BMW is all about in regards to engines.
e.g.
Z3 3.0 - 228 HP
0 to 60 (mph)5.9
1/4 Mile (sec)14.1
Transmission5-Speed Manual Trans.
Engine6 Cyl Eng.

Z4 2.8 - 255HP
0 to 60 (mph)5.6
1/4 Mile (sec)14.3
Transmission6-Speed Manual Trans.
Engine4 Cyl Eng.

The Z4 has a 382 HP available.
The Z3 tops out at 225.

You still compare apples to peaches IMO - to compare a car with 382HP to car with 225 HP - doesn't make sense - does it?
And e.g. an Z3 M Roadster has 315HP. - whilst the Z4 M40i has 385HP. - which is also reflected in the car price.

Of course it makes sense since HP is what we were looking for.
The Z4 has more than the Z3 simple as that.
The Z4 has almost as much HP as my 5.7 Tundra at 399 HP and weighs a fraction of what my truck weighs.

I almost got the KIA K5 but it has no hybrid

Kia was very nice !!!

Sonata offered me so many features

Honda Accord was disappointing
Very low features and drove bad

The Camry was excellent but wanted high 40s
