Tyrese Gibson. I was told he's an ass
Not surprising.
Kevin Smith. Too bad she only knew him as Silent Bob and not Kevin Smith.
You'd think as much as I talk about him, she'd remember that he was my
favorite creator/director and get an autograph but NO! (She also spotted Jay,
my true hero, at Cinnabon on a seperate occassion)
Was that the mall they shot Mallrats at or something?
My only other celebrity near-encounter was Kevin Smith, actually. I'm from NJ, so every Christmas when I was in school, my parents and I would go up there for Christmas. I'm pretty sure it was 1998 (the year Dogma opened in theaters, whenever that was), I had become quite a fan and went to Red Bank, to his comic book store, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. If you've never been, it's absolutely amazing: props all over, nearly anything you buy is autographed, and the store is owned and run by Brian Johnson and Walt Flanagan (Steve-Dave and Walt from the movies). So, I went there, then afterwards we were walking around because it's actually a very nice town and nearly every scene from Clerks, Chasing Amy, and some of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back were filmed within walking distance of the store. Actually, in JSBSB, the comic book store that Brodie owns IS the Secret Stash.
Anyway, I was walking around and who did I happen to see? The man himself. He went into a guitar shop and I followed him in there, then followed him back out, but I totally wussed out and was too scared to say anything to him, so I didn't. It was really probably one of my biggest regrets ever. Plus, I recounted this story on the old View Askew message board, and he replied saying that I should've said something, he loves meeting fans, etc.
Brittney Spears at Steak Escape.
Was she dropping off K-Fed's application?
Brittney Murphey and a bunch people I've never heard of.
She would come home about 3 times a month with a new story.
No offense, but what was in Denver that was bringing in all these famous people? Shooting movies there, I guess?
