So, they're shooting this movie at the country club about a mile from where the UPS Store I work at is. It's a big deal for a podunk town like Aiken. Anyway, today, Faizon Love, best known as Big Worm in the movie Friday, came into the store to buy some boxes. Not really that big of a deal, but he's the only "famous" person I've talked to and dealt with in person, so it was sort of neat.

Of course, all the teenagers in town who are too young to remember Friday are going crazy because Andy Milonakis is around town, too. Apparently, Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince and the principal from Ferris Bueller are in it as well, though nobody's seen them around town.

I have seen pics of "Uncle Phil" recently and he has lost a lot of weight and he's more grey now, so it might be hard to recognize him. The principal from Ferris Bueller has also lost some weight and he is also very grey now, so if you saw him, he doesn't look like he used to.

I could give two shits about Milonakis. He annoys me beyond anything possible, worse than Moore or Coulter.

Uncle Phil, though. Man, I'd love to meet him. I'd also like to meet Jeffrey Jones, though he is a pedophile :/

In November 2002, after having been accused of hiring a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photographs, Jones was charged with one felony count of employing a minor for purposes of taking sexually explicit photos and a misdemeanour count of possessing child pornography and released on $20,000 bail. In July 2003, after pleading no contest to the felony charge, he was placed on a sex offender register, given five years probation and ordered to undergo counselling. The misdemeanour charge of possession or control of child pornography was dropped.

I dont know who this actor is but good for you:)

The only celebrities ive met are local sports stars and of course Glenn Beck.

He was a pretty cool guy, but we didn't really talk much or anything. He wasn't a jackass, he just seemed like he had better stuff to do than hang around in a hot, busy UPS Store. It's understandable.

Today I met Jeffrey Jones. The movie's wrapping, and since we're so close, everyone's coming in here to get boxes, etc.

He was really nice. It was very surreal, much more than Big Worm. I was a huge fan of Beetlejuice and Ferris Bueller back in the day, so seeing that face and hearing that voice as I was talking to him was just strange.

But, at the same time, it's weird that he's also a pedophile. But, still, for me, meeting him was way, way cooler than meeting Big Worm (no offense to him, of course).

Here's the movie they are filming.

My wife used to work at the cherry creek mall in Denver.
For some reason, that place attracts some famous faces.
While she worked there she met:

Tyrese Gibson. I was told he's an ass

Kevin Smith. Too bad she only knew him as Silent Bob and not Kevin Smith.
You'd think as much as I talk about him, she'd remember that he was my
favorite creator/director and get an autograph but NO! (She also spotted Jay,
my true hero, at Cinnabon on a seperate occassion)

Brittney Spears at Steak Escape.

Brittney Murphey and a bunch people I've never heard of.
She would come home about 3 times a month with a new story.

Did you know he's a 30 year old man???
He shares the same birthday as me, only he's 3 years older.
He'll be 31 in January. It's true, google his name or look him up on IMDb

Not surprising.

Kevin Smith. Too bad she only knew him as Silent Bob and not Kevin Smith.

Was that the mall they shot Mallrats at or something?

My only other celebrity near-encounter was Kevin Smith, actually. I'm from NJ, so every Christmas when I was in school, my parents and I would go up there for Christmas. I'm pretty sure it was 1998 (the year Dogma opened in theaters, whenever that was), I had become quite a fan and went to Red Bank, to his comic book store, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. If you've never been, it's absolutely amazing: props all over, nearly anything you buy is autographed, and the store is owned and run by Brian Johnson and Walt Flanagan (Steve-Dave and Walt from the movies). So, I went there, then afterwards we were walking around because it's actually a very nice town and nearly every scene from Clerks, Chasing Amy, and some of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back were filmed within walking distance of the store. Actually, in JSBSB, the comic book store that Brodie owns IS the Secret Stash.

Anyway, I was walking around and who did I happen to see? The man himself. He went into a guitar shop and I followed him in there, then followed him back out, but I totally wussed out and was too scared to say anything to him, so I didn't. It was really probably one of my biggest regrets ever. Plus, I recounted this story on the old View Askew message board, and he replied saying that I should've said something, he loves meeting fans, etc.

Brittney Spears at Steak Escape.

Was she dropping off K-Fed's application?

Brittney Murphey and a bunch people I've never heard of.

No offense, but what was in Denver that was bringing in all these famous people? Shooting movies there, I guess?
