I don't believe the US has devolved in to a circumstance whereby we have to accept corruption for the sake of putting someone in the WH with whom we agree on policy matters.

That argument can be answered, but it requires whataboutism to do so.

No previous prez in this century, and perhaps never, has used the office to enrich himself in the egregious, open manner trump has.

That argument is whataboutism. Youre not playing by your own rule.

I'm left to conclude, as is the case with his other shortcomings.......both moral and legal.......that you and those like you simply can't bring themselves to state the obvious. That what he is doing is fundamentally, morally, legally, and ethically wrong.

No source for the claim, but if true, I'd say that was a pretty brilliant move.

Trump is one of the few people on Earth for whom giving him access to a private, airliner-sized, jet would not be a life-changing gift. Trump had an airliner-sized jet long before he became president. He's not going to sell out his country for this.

If he does, please come on here and post how.

If he uses it in his capacity as former president, rather than to fly to business meetings or vacations as a private citizen, I would call that a gift to the United States, not Donald Trump personally.

He'll be able to fly around speaking in support of candidates who can be relied upon to continue his wildly successful policies. He'll be a great unofficial ambassador - or maybe an official one, who knows? He'll have transportation. he could even go pick up foreign dignitaries and fly them to the U.S. in style.

So I, my children, and really every American, will benefit from that, without a dime coming from my pocket for it.
