You do realize that most third party votes are either ideological or based on not liking either of the main party candidates.

I was well aware that I’m not going to win the Presidency when I voted for myself for POTUS in 2020 and this year. Then again I live in a state where my vote is totally irrelevant because I’m not a progressive leftist Democrat, so it makes no difference.

And this is what Trump and his supporters are counting on – a popular vote loss and being installed as president via the EC contrary to the will of the majority of the voters.

That Trump and his supporters don’t care that he loses the popular vote is further confirmation of the fact that Republicans have contempt for the will of the American people and the right’s desire to maintain the tyranny of Republican minority rule.

I think you are correct, Harris does not have enough votes to win, Trump seems the strongest. Obama was very impressive when it came to him winning EC votes.

Yeah, that's a concern. The electoral college needs to be abolished. Name another elected office that is determined by electoral votes. The local dog catcher is elected by popuar vote, but not the president. It's stupid. So it is not how elections are done if every other elected official wins by popular vote.

Comey is as full of it as any other dishonest present or dishonest official who is now a talking head on TV. But I do hope Trump will appoint a reform minded AG and FBI Director who will establish honorable and necessary policies and make it clear that ANY federal employees playing politics on the job whether they favor Democrats or Republicans will be out.

And I hope President Trump and a MAGA minded Congress will pass a personnel policy that protects employees from a weaponized White House/bureaucracy but also allows a federal employee who commits malfeasance, engages in politics on the job, or otherwise does not do his/her job to be fired.

Again the EC makes it possible for the whole country to choose who will be President of the whole country. It provides incentive for the President to see that the government works for all the people and not just for the few large population centers that would otherwise elect him or her.

Do away with the EC and the Democrats will make sure those very few large populations centers are crammed full of Democrats who will vote for Democrats who will have no incentive to do anything other than keep those large population centers happy. And if those Democrats are totalitarian minded, there is much more likelihood we will become a totalitarian country. Once that is in place the people will have little no say in their government whatsoever.
