If I were to go apply for work somewhere then I've got to fight off all the bullies and good Christian men with wives and children who need that job. It's a one-against-ten fistfight before I even find my way to the interview place, be there on time, my car isn't going to be vandalized or prowled or stolen wherever I "parked" it while at a job interview.

Somebody just got fired, the new hire shouldn't expect to park on the block or ride the same bus route in a small-town district where pickpocketing and I.D. theft are already rampant.
