I did it.

Personally, I boycotted marijuana as soon as they started selling it by the gram back in 1982.

I bought an instant pot.

I can now claim the title of being the laziest cook on planet Earth.
I resisted it for a long time also, but they are actually a good tool.
Mainly only use it in the winter for soups and to occasionally soften tough cuts of meat.
These things are great for making soups, the pressure forces the liquids into and out of ingredients that truly does mimic longer cooking times to develop flavors.

I used it for some beef, mushroom noodle soup. It did a good job.

Another useful tool I eventually bought was an "air fryer".
I use to make fun of them. They are nothing more than a tiny convection oven.
But... that means they are a tiny convection oven. And that is useful.
I use it most in the summer. Instead of heating the whole kitchen when, say, cooking some chicken legs in the oven - just pop the little air fryer on the back patio and cook it outside. Same with french fries, baked potatoes etc.

The thing I use my instant pot for the most is making chicken stock from chicken bones and carcass and the leftover trimmings from your mirepoix veggies and their cousins.

Six cups of water for me...50 minutes pressure and 30 minute release.
