I dont think anyone can really be an expert on "faith".so even atheists think they are experts on Christian beliefs... Is that it?

If god exists then he/she/they is a piece of shit. In the old testament they're a petty, genocidal maniac. If you think god's punishing us now, then he's been punishing humanity for our entire existence. We have become a very materialistic society, & have lost the Christian charity we once more or less had. It's all about ME these days. There are good people in the US still, but I speak generally.
I think a good % of people watch porn. No wonder society is falling and can't get up. And Christians would rather go to a Joel Olsteen like "church" than go to the Church Christ Himself established on Earth.
I think God is fed up. I can't say I know God extremely well. He surprises me often. But I just keep getting the thought that He is punishing us.
Don't believe me? Look who controls things in this country. If you find out the details on THAT story... you will be thoroughly sickened, as those of us in the know are.
speak for yourself. I have done much research and read the entire Douay Rheims Bible, have heard it read to me at Holy Mass over and over for many years, plus have studied Church history and history in general and many related matters.I dont think anyone can really be an expert on "faith".
so you are judging God?If god exists then he/she/they is a piece of shit. In the old testament they're a petty, genocidal maniac. If you think god's punishing us now, then he's been punishing humanity for our entire existence.
I can't judge something that doesn't exist. If we lived in a universe where the christian god actually did exist, his constant threat of eternal damnation would probably be enough to subjugate me. So I would keep my judgement of their cruelty to myself.so you are judging God?
Wow, can we spell Arrogant?
That said, we all do it at one time or another, self included. Yet I began to ... snap out of it.
that's not to say I won't fall into this God judging thing again. I am human. None of us likes all the evil we see ... much less do we like the evil we ourselves have to endure... But God is who He is and you cannot change that.. (except through prayer?)
this makes NO senseI can't judge something that doesn't exist. If we lived in a universe where the christian god actually did exist, his constant threat of eternal damnation would probably be enough to subjugate me. So I would keep my judgement of their cruelty to myself.
God does not threaten eternal damnation. Quite the opposite. He promises redemption and eternal salvation. Sometimes I think people invented hell as a good reason for not bothering with faith/belief.I can't judge something that doesn't exist. Actually he doesn't do anything. If he did do something at any point in history, then it would be easy to believe in him.God does not threaten eternal damnation. Quite the opposite. You must feel an urge to believe in it, then.this makes NO sense
He has, but I get it if it hasn't happened to you. Expectations of God differ.Actually he doesn't do anything. If he did do something at any point in history, then it would be easy to believe in him.
Ok, when?He has,
Grin. Hate to sound like the typical woman, but if you don't already know...Ok, when?
Lol that's about what I expectedGrin. Hate to sound like the typical woman, but if you don't already know...
WHAT?God does not threaten eternal damnation. Quite the opposite. He promises redemption and eternal salvation. Sometimes I think people invented hell as a good reason for not bothering with faith/belief.
What I do remember is a research assignment I did in middle school about George Washington. I don't remember the source and the details are fuzzy, too. But apparently he had either a dream or a vision about the US, or the three dangers it would face. One was the Revolutionary War, it's beginning. The second was the nation breaking apart--the civil war. The third came as a dark cloud from the Middle East covering the nation. I cannot, for the life of me, remember how that last turned out.Lol that's about what I expected
.so it definitely seems. People seem to have had a VERY long time to figure out that, for example, abortion is murder. We see the photos of mutilated children lying dead in trash cans... we read about Post Abortion Syndrome, how abortion destroys women
and I could go on and on. But as I've noticed and said b4, isn't it "curious" that you never (or extremely rarely) hear of an elite dimrat becoming a Christian...
They are absolutely committed to EVIL

People here at the forums just have a lot of PRIDE... can't stand that someone may know something they do not..
but pride is one of the deadly sins
many.
Demons.
.
God is not forever mocked, however..
The #1 deadly sin.
And why do they celebrate it for a whole month?
And isn't the irony sweet that it's the same month as the Sacred Heart of Jesus?
.
Being an exptert on scriptures is not the same as being an expert on faith. Faith is intangible and unquantifiable, therefore no one can really be an expert on it.speak for yourself.
