So you're saying that 75% of American Jews are disgusting people for no other reason than their political affiliation?

That seems harsh and probably inaccurate. So using your logic would 94% of black people in America be disgusting people too because they are Democrats?

I would give up being Democrat before I gave up the Jewish faith. I've heard non-Jews say it's not that they gave up being Democrat, Democrats left them, so they had to find a better fit. Uncertain of the other major party they chose Independent, Libertarian, Unaffiliated.

The majority of Catholics were known to be Democrats as well, but Democrats (and Catholic politicians to start with) put aside Catholic ideology in favor of Democrat ideology. When Democrat politicians jumped on that bandwagon, I jumped off, refusing to join them.

I don't need Democrats--or any political party--more than I need/treasure my faith and God.

… and I don’t believe I’m alone in that.

In our more reform temples (I wouldn’t call them shuls), people are socially coerced to pretend to be social democrats to avoid arguments.

My parents, for example, voted for Nixon twice but would never tell anyone at temple for fear of being socially shunned.

what does that have to do with the Democratic party in the US? The question was regarding the platform positions of the US Democratic party and Jewish values and practices. Asking about Israel makes no sense.

I’ve experienced similar. Not so much disgust, but l was perturbed by some discussions with Jews/Israelis here in Europe. Some of it concerning Oct 7th and Netanyahu.

But not enough to leave. If need be, l’ll carry on as a lone Jew.
