Zone1 I am late

My point stands. That is what you guys do.
You said you like history. So do I. Especially ancient history. But I remember reading about the NAZIs and how they did the same thing as you all do. Weird, huh?
All you leftists are the same. The only differences are trivial.
I love it how modern day Notsees (you) don't realize that you are just like the 1940 Nazi's. Just like them. But dumb asses like you will say "Hitler was a Socialist"

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Not how it works, languages change over time. The first modern dictionary was the Oxford, and they had to grapple with this, in the 1800s they decided usage determines meaning.

It's not fixed in stone.
Excuse.

Well, you are an idiot. So there is that.
They were socialists. Look at their policies.

So what? Trump is a monster and he's a Capitalist. Is Trump a black eye to Capitalism?

And no. He was not a socialist. But he was very very similar to MAGA NOTSEES.

Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party were not socialists; they were far-right, anti-Marxist nationalists. While "Socialist" was in their party name, Hitler purged left-leaning party members, destroyed trade unions, and prioritized private profit and business interests over common ownership. He viewed socialism merely as a tool for national unity based on race, not class.

In fact, Nazi's still exist in Germany today and they are working with you MAGAssoles in America

Based on reports from late 2025 and early 2026, there is an active, deepening relationship between figures in the US Republican Party (particularly within the MAGA movement) and the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. This engagement is part of a broader, shared effort to build a trans-Atlantic partnership among right-wing populist movements.

So who you trying to kid? Us or yourself?

What does trump

What does trump have to do with this? Can you not put your unhealthy obsession on hold for at least 1 minute? Good grief.
They werent "far right" they were socialists.
They purged, their opposition (socialism)
They destroyed trade unions and then NATIONALIZED them, ya big dummy. (socialism)
Hitler was against capitalism and individualism. (socialism) Yes, certainly, we jeopardize the liberty to profiteer at the expense of the community, and, if necessary, we even abolish it.” - Hitler 1940
Socialism as the final concept of duty, the ethical duty of work, not just for oneself but also for one’s fellow man’s sake, and above all the principle: Common good before own good, a struggle against all parasitism and especially against easy and unearned income. And we were aware that in this fight we can rely on no one but our own people. - Hitler 1920
“There are no such things as classes: they cannot be. … here there can be no class, here there can be only a single people and beyond that nothing else.” - Hitler 1922
“To put it quite clearly: we have an economic program. Point 13 in that program demands the nationalization of all public companies, in other words socialization, or what is known here as socialism. … the good of the community takes priority over that of the individual. But the State should retain control; every owner should feel himself to be an agent of the State; it is his duty not to misuse his possessions to the detriment of the State or the interests of his fellow countrymen. That is the overriding point. The Third Reich will always retain the right to control property owners. - Hitler 1931

IDK why you keep calling me MAGA, or bringing up trump or republicans. I hate trump and republicans. (as I said, you are an idiot)

Kinda doubt he has much interest in reality.

Dictionaries are always working to keep up.

I take it you are one of the tedious and poorly educated ones.
I was going by the definition, and you start whining about it.
Make up your mind, boomer.

There are several ways in which I am late, I don't share them all.

But I am 74, I live just outside Portland, Maine. I am an intellectual, and Progressive.

I used to be a hiker and backpacker, and miss that like crazy.

After the cancer, I wasn't in a good place, so I got an ebike. I had lots of bikes before that, I've ridden my bike across Italy, from the Adriatic to the Med; Italy was great.

I am really into history, and that lead me to people that used economics to understand history better. Starting in the 1970s, stuffy old history came to life when nearly every discipline was brought to bear on history, from accounting to zoology.

I get kicked out of most forums because I do not suffer fools. Don't worry, Mods, I've been kicked out of better, and I don't take it personally.

I will talk about books, a fave is What Hath God Wrought, a pulitzer winning history of the era between the War of 1812 and the Civil War. I had written that era off as uninteresting, man was I ever wrong. It's terrific, and the best writing I have ever seen in a work of history.
Progressive intellectual is an oxymoron

Welcome to USMB, late. You sound like an interesting person, in general, as I like your writing style and enjoyed your Introduction. Congratulations on surviving cancer. May you find a place to feel comfortable, right here. 🪷
