How did the transcript clear him? He said he didn't talk to the Russians, The VP said nobody has spoken to the Russians. The transcript is of Flynn talking to the Russians. Nothing has cleared him from lying about that. He admitted it
He never claimed he never spoke to Russians. That's a lie. Pence claimed he was told that Flynn never spoke directly about sanctions. Flynn was then interviewed by Comey's men, where he admitted he did. Comey then got fired, and his friends got a special proseutor appointed, Mueller, who hide the brady material from Flynn who ulimately got it released and the DOJ moved to drop the indictment against him because he did nothing wrong
