And, that’s why in Delaware we have a mandatory reporting law that says if you reasonably suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, you have a mandatory duty to report it to law enforcement,” he continued.
“This is an area where we should not mind our own business because it is our business. The wellbeing and welfare of a child is our business… When you see that thing, don’t avert your eyes, follow your gut to intervene and help, and do something about it. Not only is it the right thing to do—it’s the law.”
