Hulk Hogan ripped me off and used the phrase “real Americans” over and over again…Does that phrase piss off Democrats?

Justice for what? Nobody alive today was a slaver. It’s not that I don’t think black folk deserve a leg up, because they were put through hell. Slavery and all that followed after was a blight on America, but these people today, whom you are asking to foot the bill, should not be required to pay, they didn’t do anything.

What is your vision of reparations?
Slavery Was Punishment. Jungle Savages Needed to Be Tamed.

How about the same economic subsidies given to white families during the New Deal? The same benefits and subsidies for home ownership that they should of been entitled to along with community investment and cash payments for the decades of forced impovershment and police mistreatment.

African Americans benefited greatly from New Deal programs, though discrimination by local administrators was common. Low-cost public housing was made available to Black families. The National Youth Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps enabled African American youths to continue their education. The Works Progress Administration gave jobs to many African Americans, and its Federal Writers’ Project supported the work of many Black authors, among them Zora Neale Hurston, Arna Bontemps, Waters Turpin, and Melvin B. Tolson.

So you want equal access to the opportunity of home ownership, and you want equal access to business subsidies that everyone else has today? I’m on board with that.

So for the cash payment…how much do you think each person should get? 1 million? 5 million? Give me a number here.

No, I want the subsidies that black Americans were unjustly prohibited from.

Ok, so, every black person should get home subsidies, business and agriculture subsidies, acreage given to them, priority over whites in hiring, and a cash payout. How much in the cash payout? How much is required to make each black person whole?

No just Black American families. Me and my family are black but we didn't come to this country until the 80s so our family was never a victim to American injustice.

Ok…so the amount…let’s get to the amount. How much should they be paid ??

Come on, surely you have a number in mind! What is a significant recompense?
Why do you assume I have to have a number in mind? I'm just here making it hard for you to deny something is owed in the first place without looking like an immoral or intellectual fuckwit.

Because it appears you’ve given this a lot of thought, and I’m sure you’ve done a lot of reading on it, so you should certainly have come across an article that mentions an amount you feel is fair.

I've given the nature of injustice a lot of thought as well the political pageantry white society does around the Slaver Founders. Calculating the loss of victims isn't something I do in my spare time.

You don’t have to calculate it, people have already done that, some say $350,000, some say 5 million, others say 1.3 million..there are various numbers, I’m just trying to figure which one you agree with

Hard to say without the details in front of me. Let's just assume it's a significant amount.

Significant is going to be different to different people. You can’t narrow it down even a little?

No I can't and I'll give you a great article that explains why. Like Ta-Nehisi Coates I don't think it's as simple as giving money to everyone who checked black on the census. I'm black (and asian) and so is a lot of my family but none of us where ever victims of American discrimination. I'm the first generation of Americans in my family. And like Ta-Nehisi I think these programs of reparations should be tied to the specific acts of discrimination and their victims. Now, I don't have to know the exact number to know that it's significant because the discrimination was significant. So I don't have a number for. I only have a political and social philosophy that it's the goal of government to seek justice for the victims of injustice and that goes double for when the government itself is the perpetrator of that injustice. I also agree with him that there also needs to be just as much effort made into educating Americans about these injustices that our country was responsible for.

Ta-Nehisi Coates Revisits the Case for Reparations

Why would that happen exactly?

I've never liked you anyway.. I've always seen you as just your average mainstream, armchair political poser who lacks a thorough understanding of most of the catch phrases you regurgitate on here anyway, but at the same time tries to pawn it off as if you do.
Sound like an elitist bigot.

Is the assertion that “real Americans” tend to be Republicans while Anti or Un-Americans are Democrats?
Have/do Democrats embrace the notion that they are unconventional Americans?

Your whole "real Americans" schtick is nonsense. Fortunately you do not get to decide who is a real American and who is not.
