Why they want this wingnut, I have no idea. I keep hearing that he's one of the 'smart' conservatives. Maybe he's 'smart' like Jeb Bush is the 'smart' Bush. In other words, marginally.

Let's see some of that 'smart' stuff from Hugh:

Hugh is not a smart Conservative.

He just has developed a toned down repertoire that is palatable to non Fox News viewers/listeners. That's why he gets more spots on Meet the Press lately. Smart businessman.

what's wrong with his credentials?

not left enough for you?

Who are you talking to?

The OP
Far be it from me to speak for the OP...but I thinik he takes exception to his intelligence, not his ideology

I'd never heard of the guy.

But a short look at his resume doesn't seem to that back up either.

"Hugh Hewitt (born February 22, 1956) is an American radio talk show host with the Salem Radio Network, lawyer, academic, and author. A conservative and a Catholic,[1] he comments on society, politics and media bias in the United States. Hewitt is also a law professor at Chapman University School of Law."
