Huge Percentage Of EV Owners Want To Go Back To Normal Cars, Study Finds

EV's are only one alternative to eliminating most gas vehicles. They were never intended to replace all of them.

Think about:
Mass transit buses
Mass transit trains.
Bicycles
Walking
Employment closer to home
10% to 20% EV's replacing gas engines
....................

Can anybody think of the other solutions?
You left out horse and buggy and slave powered personnel carriers like royalty used to use.

It's only a matter of time before battery technology allows faster charging and prices on EV's come down.

When that happens, no one will want an internal combustion engine in their car.
.

That resembles a quote falsely attributed to Henry Ford ...
"If I had asked people what they wanted ... They probably would have told me a faster horse."

Likewise ... The issue of EV's and IBE's ...Will be appropriately decided ...
When you stop trying to make it about the Environment ... And make it more about what people want ...
And dealing with what exists in reality ...

.

"The only thing money produces is pollution" -- Terry Kath ...
.

That's a pretty good point ... Especially in reference to the quote previously mentioned and falsely attributed to Henry Ford.

It was finally attributed to someone in the cruise ship industry ... And a reference to their misconceptions regarding Henry Ford.
Henry Ford was way more focused on innovation ... And generally had a higher opinion of the common man.

So ... Where does that connect?

The false quote became popular ... When the Ford Motor Company stumbled across it ... And used it in a marketing campaign in 1999.
Hence the birth of an Urban Legend ... And the stupid idea it might make sense ... Regardless its lack of any factual context.

Do I have your attention yet ... You want to know where that's going and how that fits in?

Hearts and minds bitches ... But don't forget to follow the money.
There are folks out there that are more than willing to sell you anything ... As long as they can make a dime off it.
And if they can get you to believe ... They'll lead you around by the nose ... All the while thinking you are smarter for it.

Terry Kath ... Might make some sense ... I mean progress does cause pollution.
But it makes no sense ... The idea that you can trade one form of pollution for another ... Escape that, and still progress.

And that is what has turned the Climate issue ... Into little more than a Globalist run 'shell game'.
Money Chasing Ideology ...

What plan? Ever hear of free markets?
We've reached conssensus on the bibles being based on the big lie. I can lead you to a rational understanding here too.

However, I'm too busy there to come here. Take my rain check!

We know now that we can tear down walls that stand between us, even as our moderator keeps trying to erect more of them.

:oops8:

Nearly half of American electric vehicle (EV) owners want to buy an internal combustion engine model the next time they buy a car, according to a new study from McKinsey and Company, a leading consulting firm.

Approximately 46% of Americans who own an EV want to go back to a standard vehicle for their next purchase, citing issues like inadequate charging infrastructure and affordability, according to McKinsey’s study, which was obtained and reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The study’s findings further suggest that the Biden administration’s EV push is struggling to land with American consumers, after 46% of respondents indicated that they are unlikely or very unlikely to purchase an EV in a June poll conducted by The Associated Press and the University of Chicago’s Energy Policy Institute.

Huh, if only someone had predicted this!

Toyota was right......120V plug-in hybrids with a 50 mile battery range are the future.

I was amazed by the fact that so many EV owners don't have a home charging system.
Considering a home charger from tesla is like $500.

You would be 0 for 2 if you tried, but you are great at running away.

So you are just fine with the taxpayer subsidizing your lifestyle.....Congratulations....You have joined the "Free Shit Army". What's next EBT?

be realistic, nobody is going to turn away $7500 cash. Even the rich dems, who apparently think they don't pay enough in taxes, are voluntarily forking over extra cash to the government.

Government wants people in EVs and they are going to give an allowance for people who buy them.

Now, I agree, the federal government should not be subsidizing much of anything, it's not their business, but don't blame someone for taking free money.

Well from what I understand the subsidies will be ended on EVs.....They can fuckin' well be "green" on their own dime.

The thing about EVs is, if it's your only vehicle..not a good idea, unless you live in a city or town with available charging stations and you don't really travel outside of the city much. So even with that, external.charging stations wouldn't even be an issue since you should be charging your vehicle each night when you get home.

However, all of this would be solved if they just used my idea....it would solve 2 issues.

When you buy a tesla, you don't buy a battery with it. Instead, you pay a subscription to a battery exchange program. Instead of just chargers, you'd have battery stations, kind of like gas stations, that would have banks of batteries on chargers.

The battery in your car would be on a slide out tray. You pull into the "battery station", the technician slides your empty battery out and puts the charged one in and off you go.

The subscription service could be a monthly fee that would would cover the electricity plus a service fee.

This would make it so you don't have to spend hardly any time charging, and, you don't ever have to worry about battery replacement when yours goes bad.

Plus, you'd only really need to use this service when traveling. You could still charge your battery at home if you wanted.

If they end, that's fine. Eventually, electric cars will be to the price where average people can afford them. Considering the price of ICE vehicles these days, it won't be long.

Tesla Pick-up is the better part of a hundred thousand dollars ... $100,000 ... $30,000 for a new battery pack seems like a bargain ...

It'll set you back $5,000 just for a tune-up for a Ferrari ... old Jaguars sell for less than a year's repair bills ... don't get me started on the price of avionics these days ... glass cockpits are expensive ... batteries for the car is chump-change for The Rich ...
