Your argument is old...it is so old that it was made when right wingers like yourself were arguing against interracial marriage. A Republican congressman from Illinois argued that bans on interracial marriage were not discrimination because they applied equally to men and women. That's the argument you are using...gays aren't discriminated against because they can marry people of the opposite sex. I'm sure this comes as no shock to you, but we don't want to marry people of the opposite sex. We want to marry our partners.
Wow trotting out the old civil rights analogy again. Unfortunately the two aren't remotely comparable. When a black went to get married he was asked what race he was. When a gay goes to get married no one asks.
What gays want are extra rights over what the rest of us have.
