Former Democrat and now Republican Representative Jeff Van Drew joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures this morning to discuss the recent threats of violence against him and his family.
Maria Bartiromo played a violent death threat that was left on Rep. Van Drew’s home phone.

The caller also happens to be a far left reporter in New Jersey. John McCall of Ocean City has been threatening Van Drew for weeks. He wrote a column calling on the congressman to resign and accusing him of being “a faithful dog” to Donald Trump.
Rep. Van Drew: He said that, literally, how would my wife feel if she was grabbed by her crotch, picked up, and slammed down down on the car, how would the tickle feel?”
And recently John McCall threatened Jeff Van Drew’s wife, to sexually harass her.
What a disgusting pig! Will the Democrats condemn this latest violence?

That McCall is nutso. Drew better watch is ass. It's New Jersey, though. They don't have stand your ground rights, so better be ready to run like hell or evade. Cardio and seat-belts, about all you can count on up there.

And the editor of the Ocean City Sentinel did an excellent job of addressing Representative Drew's concerns with regard to the column, issuing an apology.

It would seem that McCall is a "local resident and freelance journalist who periodically submits guest columns and letters to the editor" and not a paid employee of the paper. The editor, David Nahan, readily admits he dropped the ball, and claims he knew nothing about the phone message.
