Now the world knows how the government caused internet platforms like Facebook and Twitter to censor stories like the Hunter Biden story, while allowing any and all conspiracy theories about Trump flourish on the internet. Now we know that this
illegal act, coming from the Oval Office, helped seal the outcome of the 2020 election. Even Democrats agree

So now what?

Now this article suggests that demanding companies like Twitter provide us with free speech means they will take on the legal liability of allowing hate speech that will lead to a crime,, something most companies will be unwilling to take on.

Democrats always win, and never are held accountable.

All that screaming from the left about collusion..........looks like their chickens have come home to roost.

Twitter has nothing to do with our right to free speech. I am appalled that Twitter has allowed all those hateful banned acounts back, but it is still a company, and not a government agency. As long as they don't encourage illegal behavior, and make enough money to stay in business, they can do what they want,

we dont have a right to free speech in the 1st A,,

get an education,,

You realize that Twitter doesn't have the ability to deny federally protected free speech to anybody, don't you? Our constitutionally protected free speech only limits government agencies. twitter is free to do what they want. That's why Fox has gotten away with colluding with the rightwing for so many decades.
theres no such thing as federally protected free speech,,

True and complete free speech wouldn't last a week in the US. People tire quickly of putting up with vile.

Meh....they will make or break their account status on their own.....Terms of Service.
Musk has given them a second chance.

This is a lie and ignorant rightwing idiocy.

As already correctly noted, private social media have nothing to do with 'free speech.'

Social media is how people talk to each other now, at least, on a mass scale.

So yes, it effects free speech.

Idiot.

The right to free speech concerns solely the relationship between government and those governed, not between or among private persons or entities, such as social media.

How Twitter edits it's content in no manner 'violates' free speech.
your premise is a lie,,

you know you just said two different things on the same subject??

the 1st A is about government intrusion not free speech,,

a private company restricting speech is a violation of free speech not a law,,
